Terms of use
Updated 2 October 2026. PhraseLane is an early-stage language utility for adults aged 18 and over. By using the service, use it only for lawful purposes and material you are authorised to process.
Free beta
The free cloud service provides up to 10 requests per network address per UTC day, with 500 input characters per request. A shared daily capacity limit may temporarily pause cloud translation. Local tools and browser voice capabilities have their own limits. Availability, latency and translation quality are not guaranteed.
Planned Pro subscription
Paid subscriptions are not currently offered. If opened, the proposed plan is $9 USD per month with monthly renewal until cancelled, 50,000 input characters per calendar month, up to 1,000 characters per request and up to 100 requests per day. No unused allowance rolls over. No paid overage is automatically added by the app. Final price, any tax and renewal terms must be displayed before checkout.
Cancellation through the billing portal stops future renewal; access normally continues until the paid period ends. Refund requests can be submitted through the contact page. Mandatory consumer rights remain applicable, and no blanket exclusion of those rights is intended. A purchase will not be enabled until the operator’s sale disclosures are completed.
Review before relying on output
Machine translation can contain errors or omit context. You are responsible for reviewing names, numbers, tone and meaning. The service does not provide certified translation, medical advice, legal advice, emergency interpretation or safety-critical instructions. Use qualified human review for high-stakes work.
Fair and safe use
Do not bypass rate limits, attack the service, upload material you have no right to share, impersonate others, conduct fraud or record others without appropriate permission. Access can be limited for abuse or security reasons. The service is supplied without a promise of uninterrupted or error-free operation, subject to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Account security
Keep your recovery key private. It is the credential that restores your account. We store only its hash and cannot show the original again. Sign out on shared devices. Contact the operator about suspected unauthorised access without sending the key itself.
Ownership and contact
You retain your rights in your input. Processing your text for a requested translation does not transfer ownership of it to us. Browser providers and payment processors supply their own services under their terms. Contact details and seller information are linked in the footer.
